Woodard Family

The Woodard family is close to my heart in many ways! I was so glad to be able to capture some fun times for them! And I think that it's quite possible that Willie was my first guy that didn't mind having his picture taken! The boys had a great time & I think you can see that they were just boys being boys - which I LOVED! There were so many to choose from that I had a difficult time deciding. Sorry if there are too many. Hope you enjoy.

Seems that some people have had trouble finding my contact info. (I'm still new to the blogging thing, so it's pretty small over on the side panel), so I thought it might be nice to just add this to make it easier...

Apple Festival Week

So the Apple Festival came and went. It seemed like it went on forever, but flew by - does that even make sense? I'm sure some of you will understand! Thank you to those of you who stopped by our booth! "Our" booth because I shared my booth with my Awesome - Super-Cool sister Amanda who makes custom invites, paper goods, etc. Check her out over there on the right "akaye"! It was a lot of hard work (Thanks DADDY:) but totally worth it! We had a great time talking to old friends, making new ones, and just visiting with people that didn't know we were officially "In Business"! Yeah! Now everyone knows! It was also fun just to spend time with my sister, who I don't hang out with as often as I used to, and to see my nieces have so much fun with temporary tattoos. Who knew that it was so easy to entertain them? Another highlight was seeing adorable Helena win the Little Queen's Contest! Don't you love it when the one that you know wins? That hardly ever happens! I was fortunate enough to get to photograph her as a finalist, so it was great to be able to display "The Queen" in my booth! She is so adorable with those front teeth missing, I'm sure I'll be displaying her pics for years! All the girls did a great job - hope you all had fun!

Thanks to everyone who entered the raffles! We made a great donation to Secret Santa, so thanks for that too! The winner of the Sarah Williams Photography raffle was Tracy DeLong - Congrats Tracy! You win a free session & an 11 x 14 print! And for those of you that entered both, the winner of the akaye raffle was Candace Kennedy! Yeah for you Candace! You win the giant box of 30 handmade cards & metallic markers!

Many special thanks to my Dad (Greg Fannin) who used his wicked awesome construction skills to throw that booth together in no time, for putting all those little hooks on the back of those frames, and for trusting us girls with your tools; To our fabulous Aunt Jeri for letting us borrow all your fabulous decorations; to Joan at Michael's Ice Cream Shop for allowing me to display Helena's photo in her window all week & for providing us with such a great background for taking that photo; to Halle & Sydney who made a wonderful marketing team passing out (and displaying) our fish tattoos, business cards & stickers in the street; to MaryAnne and John for allowing us to borrow the front part of our booth - you saved Dad a lot of work!; to Aunt Carol, Uncle Jim & Brenda who manned the booth on Friday evening so I was able to get rained on and see Halle cheer at the ballgame (sorry Jim:); and to my brother-in-law (Travis Hughes of Servpro) for lending his truck & helping us tear it all down super fast! Just a little explanation...I wrote that "of Servpro", because lately I can't remember a time when I heard Travis's name without that attached! He's much better at marketing than I am! Come to think of it, maybe that's where the girls get it! :)

Here are just a few snapshots from the week!

My Favorite Decortation - The TIKI GODS - aren't they cute?

Our Booth (I loved it so much that I wanted to paint my whole apartment turquoise & live there forever!)

Our artwork looks more impressive in pictures than it did in person, but we sure had a lot of fun doing it! (Blotchit, Amanda! Blotchit!!!)

Amanda's beautiful box of handmade cards - no wait, Candace's box of cards:)

OK, this one isn't from the A-Fest, but aren't they cute in their Buckeye gear?
